1: The Race Game AfL has an engine (CDRG1) and this must be installed before the Race Game Maths database (CDRGM), Science database (CDRGS) or English database (CDRGE).
2:
There is an MSI installer on each CD.
3: RM CC3 packages are being prepared for the beginning of November 2008 and if you want versions with these packages please email your request to info@robertpowellpublications.com with your contact name, school name and address, and details of the products ordered. Replacement CDs with the RM CC3 packages will be sent out without charge.
4: The Engine (CDRG1) contains 3 files for installation:
a. File 1 is the Race Game engine and should be installed by all users.
b. File 2 is the Promethean Activ Driver. If you already have the latest Promethean Activ Driver on the PC there is no need to install this file. Please check it is the latest. If you do not have this driver then this file must be installed.
c. File 3 is the Activote Device Register. If you have the Generation 1 Activote handsets with the hub that looks like a handset with a wire attached, then you should not download the Device Register file. You should ensure, however, that Activstudio 3 or ActivPrimary is installed on the computer before using the Race game AfL. If Activstudio is not on the computer then the Race Game will not connect to the hub.
If you have Activote 2.4 handsets with a hub that resembles a black memory stick, you should install the Device Register and then the Race Game AfL will talk to the hub even if Activstudio is not installed.
If you have Activexpression handsets, install the Device Register but you will also need the Activexpression software installed as well.
