4. Creating Your Own Key Word Lists
|
Importing or creating your own text filesAlthough EyeWrite has 1000s of words in topic sets, it does not have words for all topics in all subjects. You may want to import key words you already have in a file or create a new list. This is easy to do. Importing existing lists you have savedYou may have lists of key words saved in a folder. All you have to do to make them importable into Eye-Write is to turn them into a vertical list (as in the WordHoard) and then save the words as a Plain Text file in a folder of your choice. Alternatively you can open Notepad (found in Accessories) and save directly there as a plain text file. Creating your own listsIf you want to create your own list of words,
type them in a vertical column in a
word processor (e.g. Microsoft Word) and then save as a Plain Text file or
open Notepad and type in the words in a vertical column - it will save
automatically as a text file. You then
follow the same process as in the previous paragraph. You
can also copy and paste key words from web pages and other documents. (Please
be aware that some documents will be subject to copyright.) Tutorial 4 Creating Your Own Key Word Lists
